Vision, Weight & Height Screening

October 

Please consider helping the school nurse with vision, height and weight screenings. When you sign to volunteer you will assist the nurse in keeping the students quiet and escort them to the stations and help with screenings.

Book Fair

November 2023

Volunteer at this year's BOOK FAIR and support Cornwall Elementary's library!  Our kids are so excited to shop on their own, but they often need a little help finding just the right book that matches their interests. You can help by signing up for either a 2-hour or 4-hour shift to sell books, assist with setting up the displays, or help when we put everything away. If you can only volunteer for part of a shift, just note that in the comments section.When you arrive, please be sure to stop by the office to sign in (ID required), before heading up to the library.One special note: we ask that small siblings do not come along when you are volunteering. Mrs. Forker will be teaching class in the library during the Book Fair, and small children can be a distraction. Thank you! Contact Wendy Zartman at twzee@comcast.net if you have any questions. Parent Teacher Conference Buffet

November 2023

Please help coordinate the special meal provided to the teachers and staff during the fall parent-teacher conferences by signing up for any of the following; making phone calls, organizing food donations, setting up, serving and cleaning up.

The PTO would like to show appreciation of our amazing Cornwall staff!  We are asking for your support in providing a conference meal for our teachers.

Cornwall Holiday Shop

December 2023

Holiday Shop Elves - The Cornwall Elementary School PTO is busy preparing for the Cornwall Holiday Shop.  This event is held each year to allow the children to independently select and purchase inexpensive gifts for their family and loved ones. We always have a nice variety of gifts ranging from $1.00 to $7.00 (tax included).The PTO needs many helpers to make this event successful.  We need 'elves' to assist each child with their shopping. This includes gift selection, totaling the purchase, packaging the gifts, and checking out.  When you arrive, be sure to sign in at the office and show your ID before you come to the gym. Sign up for as many dates/times as you can. If you can only volunteer for part of a shift, just add a comment telling us when you can be there.

Volunteers are also needed to help shop for inventory, organize inventory and execute the event.

Kindergarten Registration

May

The Future Cornwall Kindergartners will be given name tags at the Main Entrance and escorted to the Library, where the parents will fill out paper work and the students will have screenings. After this, the parents are guided to another location to answer questions and the students are escorted to the Learning Lab for further testing. We will need Friendly PTO Parents to help guide them to their assigned areas quickly and comfortably. As you all know, Kindergarten is a big and scary step for some students which will need reassuring from time to time, especially when separated from their parents.
