Cornwall Elementary Kid's Garden

Cornwall Kids Garden

“Lets Start a School Garden..Lets grow organic vegetables with our kids at school...”
It started with a parent's idea. With the support of the school superintendent, school board and a core group of parents and volunteers, the school garden became a reality! Our kids participate in all aspects of our garden including planning, developing, planting, and harvesting. And of course they must taste the food right out in the garden!

We are using raised garden beds to teach concepts such as organic, sustainability, composting, community, respect for the health of our bodies and our planet. We are planting an array of plants, herbs and flowers, including broccoli, cauliflower, lettuces, spinach, radishes, carrots, peas, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, potatoes, strawberries, basil, chives, parsley, cilantro, and many others.

It is amazing and humbling to consider that so many lives will be forever enriched through our School Garden!

Contact Sarah Conville to volunteer. Call or text 717.296.5919 or email saraheconville@gmail.com.

We're looking to raise $1,000 for new beds this year.
